A communication add-on has been developed by Graphisoft with MAXON Computers GmbH, the maker of professional 3D modelling, painting, animation and rendering solutions. Its award-winning products have been used extensively in the film, television, science, architecture, engineering and other industries. MaxonForm is essentially MAXON's CINEMA 4D, the powerful, mature and highly popular design and animation solution which has been 'customized' for architecture. The add-on allows MaxonForm to function as a graphical GDL modeller and editor tightly integrated with ArchiCAD, allowing a streamlined "roundtrip" ArchiCAD - MaxonForm - ArchiCAD workflow on both the Apple and Windows platforms.

The architect can switch with confidence between ArchiCAD and MaxonForm with the click of a mouse at any time as design develops, using the combined benefits of both solutions rather than forming shapes in isolation. All twists, distortions and other organic manipulation of your model shapes are always achieved within the building context itself.
